Newsletter: 22nd December 2015

Ride News – PeachyMee:

In the last ride of the calendar year, eleven of Queensland’s elite Audax riders departed Ferny Grove in search of the twin peaks of Peachester and Mee.

There were 11 riders: David Booth, Andrew Bragg, Chris Ellis, Roger Hawley, Brian Hornby, Phil Millham (DNF), James Nitis (Course record 7h50), Peter Watson, Christian Weiss, Paul Witzerman, Melvyn Yap; with companion riders Anne Latimer and Liz Hepple to the top of Peachester.

And just look at that beautiful vista above (somewhat obscured by the piece of furniture in the foreground). And yes, you can see the “Strava arrows” at the sides of the picture. I do admit to internet thievery.

And if you missed this ride, as I did, then we have a whole year to contemplate what we missed.

Other News:

If you’ve been good boys and girls, and have racked up the miles, Santa will be sending you an Australian Audax Award.
But only if you’ve been good. Remember, Santa knows.

Please note: the applications must be submitted electronically using the forms which can be downloaded from Australian awards should be submitted to
