Ride News – PeachyMee:
In the last ride of the calendar year, eleven of Queensland’s elite Audax riders departed Ferny Grove in search of the twin peaks of Peachester and Mee.
There were 11 riders: David Booth, Andrew Bragg, Chris Ellis, Roger Hawley, Brian Hornby, Phil Millham (DNF), James Nitis (Course record 7h50), Peter Watson, Christian Weiss, Paul Witzerman, Melvyn Yap; with companion riders Anne Latimer and Liz Hepple to the top of Peachester.
And just look at that beautiful vista above (somewhat obscured by the piece of furniture in the foreground). And yes, you can see the “Strava arrows” at the sides of the picture. I do admit to internet thievery.
If you’ve been good boys and girls, and have racked up the miles, Santa will be sending you an Australian Audax Award.
But only if you’ve been good. Remember, Santa knows.
Audax Australian Award applications are due by 31st of December, 2015.
Please note: the applications must be submitted electronically using the forms which can be downloaded from http://www.audax.org.au/awards. Australian awards should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org
Audax Queensland are looking for a new Brevet Secretary and Treasurer. Plenty of support will be available for anyone wanting to take on either role.
Upcoming Rides News:

Simon mentioned that due to “..the possible heat and the time of year [i.e. alcohol induced dehydration] there will be two checkpoints in the 100 km ride”. I read this as: “Berocca available”. Details below.
Note: Due to computer issues could riders please use both email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org in correspondence with Simon.
